Training and Events

Seminars, workshops and events are organized regularly to promote use of eLearning technology at the University.  For schedules and registration, visit this page.

Some workshops have been designed specially to get users familiar with the CU eLearning System (Blackboard Learn). Once they have been scheduled and are open for registration, you can locate them through this page for registration.

Workshop Description

Blackboard Learn: Mastering the Basics (BBL02)

Overview: This workshop is designed for teaching or supporting staff that are NEW to the system.
Objectives: By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
  • Be familiar with the system interface
  • Build and manage course content in the course site
  • Communicate with students using Discussion Board, Announcement and Email
  • Create and grade Assignments
  • Track student performance
Duration: 1.5 hours

Advanced Workshop (BBL07)

Overview: This workshop introduces you some advanced functions in the CU eLearning System (Blackboard Learn).
Objectives: By the end of the workshop, participants should have an understanding on the following features:
  • Set up online survey
  • Conduct group project using Wiki
  • Create online peer assessment for class presentations
  • Grade student work with Rubrics
Prerequisite: Participants are required to attend Mastering the Basics (BBL02) before joining this workshop.
Duration: 2 hours
